foot buffer around these areas, where the birds may also occur, are shown in
yellow.
In the unincorporated area of the County, lots within 850
feet of a scrub-jay documented in the 2000 and 2004 surveys are generally
referred to the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) for consultation. Additional
lots may be referred to the FWS based on site specific information. Determinations concerning sites in or near
defined habitat must be made on a case by case basis by a competent
